weighed myself this morning and I am 178. So I thought id start a new thread and put up some curtains and set up a table. I think I will be here awhile. I do hope it's more than just me in here eventually. Not much of a thread when it's just me.

I wasn't supposed to weigh myself until next Monday but I did anyway and it was 176.2. I am so stoked and I hope it stays.
Weight was 176.2 again today. Dont know what else I can do in here to clean up the place. I washed the floor and planted some of those small flowers that look like a face on the petals. pansies?
weigh in was 175. need to focus on just weighing on Mondays..I said I was just going to weigh myself on Monday yet I kept weighing myself most days of the week. I guess it helps me with boredom. There isn't much going on in my life the weight loss monitoring gives me something to focus on. I am sorry if everyone is sick of me logging my weight. Im not trying to brag or anything. just focusing on micromanaging now so I am still engaged enough to not give up. I guess that comes off as needy.
174 on Christmas. pigged out on pork and rolls. no sweets except apple sauce.

Thanks Cate Ive meant to comment on your other post about being 20 pounds down. Ive been pretty happy about that. It took about 3 months but im happy with the result. Ive been tracking it offline on my apple notes app and whenever I get sad that my weight is not moving I look back at the document and can see the slow progression from 197 to 174. It's a lot easier to see what is happening and the places I got stuck because I was logging every day. It's more fun when I see others dropping too but everyone doesn't always mention their weight loss progression. I meant to say if you want my log in info for the old website I can give you my log in if you want. I dont know if that would help with the spam there. You have been around the most so I trust you with my account information if you think it may help. just DM me and I will give you the log in and password.
Thanks for that offer, Andrew. I was a moderator on the old forum & could delete spam, but only because I was a mod. I have managed to log in under a new name this week & can report it, but the reports will go to two friends who are busy & not active there any more & most probably not get dealt with by anyone else. I trust you not only because you've been here longer than anyone I know but also because I believe you are trustworthy and genuinely care about what happens on both the forums. I do think it's one person that has been spamming the newcomers section on the old site with ads. its not that bad now maybe 8 or 9 posts but over time it may start to effect the different topics of the site making it eventually unusable.

I didn't realize there was any real revenue to a website. I thought it was only through ad clicks that you get revenue. I never had a website or made a website so im not sure how all that works. It sounds interesting though. weight holding at 174 so I will be in this club awhile longer.
I weigh myself all the time but today is Monday my official weigh in day. weight was 173.0.
Wow, the pounds are just flying off you!! I doubt I will catch up in time to make it to the 170s club before you are already graduated from it, but I wanted to say that you do not come off as needy what-so-ever and I think you're doing amazing!!

Im still focusing on OMAD. I pigged out on curly fries yesterday. I need to stop eating fries and go back to eating cucumbers instead. Im a little concerned that the weight I have been loosing is mostly muscle and not fat. It just feels that way because It doesn't seem like ive gotten any skinnier. They say you can measure your body fat based how much skin you can pinch. if that's the case than im in trouble because I can grab a handful not a pinch.
I tend to gravitate to simple carbs like fries when I am either stressed or low on energy because I am not getting enough nutrition. Do you think you need more protein or anything like that? I think it's great you are fixing your treadmill so you can get fit and get your leg muscles toned. Do you do any calisthenics or things like that where you lift your own body weight? I need to get back into that. I have the bad stomach and muffin-top fat and need to concentrate on that also.
@Marsia I think it's low energy like you mentioned with the fries. I have some prepackaged protein shakes I can drink. Maybe I should go back to drinking those for breakfast. My legs were pretty sore when I did use it even though I didn't use it that long. Doing calisthenics sounds like it would be helpful. Does targeting certain areas of your body help? If you start calisthenic training id love to hear your workout for something to go by and get me started. I hear you on the belly fat and muffin top. My pants have elastic type material to help hide the scary belly parts and I try and wear loose shirts to cover up the flabby parts.
Hi Andrew, I do a lot of weight bearing postures in yoga and just augment with calisthenics, but I just watched this beginner video which is good because he tells you what muscle each exercise targets https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gQbgyTlS-8 . My weakness is arms, and sometimes even girl pushups are hard for me, so I do wall pushups. I do leg lifts and sit ups for my stomach. Protein shakes sound good, and I hope we both can lose the bad belly fat this year!!
@Marsia you must have good core strength if you can do the weight bearing ones in yoga. Even though im a guy I may start with wall push ups like what you are doing. I dont think ive tried a normal pushup in over 20 years. I used to be able to do chin ups when I was a teenager but I was a lot lighter back then too. Thanks for the video I will check it out. I like the body recomp videos too on YouTube. people have replaced a lot of fat with muscle. actually some have it measured with a machine and sometimes they loose 10 pounds of fat but gain 3 pounds of muscle.
I wish my core strength were better. With my frozen shoulder, I am lifting myself up with mostly one arm, so it will be great if I can heal up that shoulder. I have never been good at the core strengthening stuff, and just add a bit in to my routine, but I think I will do more now that we are talking about it! I think it's great to utilize videos that you like, and the link I sent looks like a lot of hard exercises that might need modification. I just liked it because it did tell you which body part it works out, so if you modified it, you'd have a good full body workout I think. But if you have others you like, I'd use those. Here's to losing the fat and growing the muscle!
@Marsia my mom had a frozen shoulder from a car accident. She always says you got to keep moving it otherwise as the name suggests the frozen shoulder will freeze and be worse. Going by what she was telling me a frozen shoulder is no joke. It's painful and takes a long time to heal. So I feel for you and hope you find some relief. Is there any chance you can get some physical therapy? Im just trying to think of something that could help. I dont like knowing you are in pain.
Thanks so much for this Andrew! I know I need to stretch this a lot, and I do, but probably not enough. I am pretty tolerant of physical pain, but it is pretty painful, so I tend to not remember to do my exercises, so I think I'll set reminders for it for a while. Thanks for sympathizing!!
@Marsia np. if you have one of those exercise bands they help with just a little resistance. Each band color represents a certain amount of resistance. I used them when I broke my tibia and fibular bones in my leg. I broke them both in half and they put a metal rod in my leg. Besides taking almost a year to heal it took months of therapy afterwards. The bones were sticking out of my leg and my foot was twisted around backwards. It must have looked gruesome at the hospital.
Oh, wow, that sounds horrible and excruciatingly painful. A whole year of that - yikes! I think I'll research this and order some bands. Thanks so much!!
yeah it was mostly painful when they turned my foot around to face the right way then they pushed upwards on the heal of my foot to set it. I think the whole hospital heard me scream because I was on no pain killers. I wasn't awake when they put the rod and screws in thank goodness. The outer top part of my knee still has no feeling when touched. it's weird it's like having permanent nova cain on the top of my knee. none of my doctors are to worried about that.

Wow, that's rather miraculous you could recover from that and just have a numb outer part of the knee. Does the numbness affect you very much? I hope not!!

@Marsia not to much. I have pain from the surgery but I feel like my leg healed ok. if I complain about something the doctors just tell me it was a big surgery and will take a long time to heal. what happened was I tripped down the stairs and skipped a step taking a long stride. Then when I tried to stop myself from falling my ankle rolled and I came down hard breaking my leg and tearing muscle tissue. My weight was heavy which is why it broke in half. My body couldn't handle my own weight in that manner.
my weight is still bouncing between 174 and 173. It will be a great relief if I see 172 within a week or two. it looks like on the old forum there is 2 people that keep posting advertisements almost every day. even though nobody goes there anymore if it spreads to the other categories it may be difficult to navigate around everything.
If the owners/admin don't seem to care about the old forum I am no longer going to worry about it, Andrew. There is absolutely nothing I can do about it anymore. I won't even look.

Oh, I didn't think you aimed it at me. It drove me bonkers that I couldn't get back in & deal with it, but I'm over it now.
I dont want to get ahead of myself but my weight was 171.8 today. Hopefully by the end of January I will be out of the 170s and into the 160s. I dont know what the average everyone's weight is but I figure at some point one of these clubs will have more people in it. I just need to get low enough weight that im around everyone else weight.
172.6 today. I had a plate of home fries today with some chicken tenders. I didn't count the calories as I dont have a scale yet. I think a scale would drive my mom bonkers. The potato thing still persists constantly trying to push potatoes on me. my dad did the same when he was alive. potatoes every single day in one form or another. dont want them today ok then tomorrow it is.
I dont like them as much as everyone else. I could go months without potatoes.
172.2 today Just finished sweeping up the place. Hopefully some people will join this thread soon.
Andrew, you are in a very exclusive club to which I can only aspire to. I hope you are patient because it will take me a long time to get there, but that's the plan. You are doing very well!

I had a very light sandwich for dinner last night and woke up today at 170. I dont know if I really lost a pound or if it was a pound of missing food weight. I guess I will find out tomorrow at my weigh in. Had a big meal today ribeye steak and potato and corn.
we are having a light dinner tonight. egg salad sandwiches and a sliced cucumber.
My weight was 169 today so that's going well. I might wait a week or two before I start a 160s club. people dont seem to be interested in posting in the clubs. I want to wait until my weight levels out anyway.
My weight popped back up to 170.2 again so im glad I didn't create a 160s club yet. Maybe if I can get 168 or so I will start a new thread.
Sorry, Andrew, I am so preoccupied with our move that I haven't been doing the 180s club for a while. I am back up to 183 and can't focus on diet as much for this month, but I'll get serious about it again after the move. I do think you are doing great, and I hope you can also build up a little muscle mass with some fun exercises that you enjoy. When you post about how winded you get doing aerobic things or that hike on that gorgeous mountain, I remember being sad about that for myself in the past. I am sure you can get in good shape if you try things out on Youtube and see what sort of exercises you like doing from home. There's just so much out there like mini-trampoline jumping videos, all sorts of dance, yoga for flexibility and strength, pilates for core strength, hand held weights, calisthenics of all different types, stretching and strengthening of all types, ... Not that I think you have to do these things, just if you feel like experimenting, there is just so much there to try!
@Marsia no worries. You have a lot going on right now. Like you said it will be easier after the move and you are settled.
My weight today was 169.8. my weight keeps fluctuating between 169-170 stuck so Id really like to see 168.
My weight has gone from 169 to 172. so im up 3 pounds. I haven't been eating well either I had cookies and milk the other night. Also my proportions has increased. I am way off track and need to get back to monitoring my calories.
weight is 170.4 today. it seems to have settled so I dont expect anything lower. Had a hamburger today with pasta salad. The proportion for the pasta salad was larger than I wanted but I finished it. Im trying to be more flexible and appreciative for the things that are made for me. Its just 1 day out of 7 so hopefully I can eat a little less next time.
Darn, sorry to hear that, but I bet you'll be back on track really soon. My weight is up with all the traveling and driving for hours and not having the healthiest options. I guess we'll work on that together!

my weight is 172 so im up 3 pounds. I haven't been able to bring that down at all. Looks like 169 will have to wait awhile to get back too.
I agree, together is a lot nicer. I am at 182, so having similarly hard time getting out of my club and into yours. But we'll make it slowly but surely!!

Still in text mode. doing my best to keep logging. weight today was 168.0. had serious bathroom issues so I dont think it was real weight I lost but food weight from emptying my stomach.
