My weight was 168 so I’m starting a new thread even though I may get kicked back into the 170s. I guess I can sweep up around here and pray someone joins me at some point.
Hi Andrew! My scale's battery no longer works and I'll be packing it in a few days for the move anyway, so I won't know my weight for a while. But I will keep at it and join you when I can. Big congratulations on getting into the 160s!!!!!

Barely made it to 168 again. The scale kept bouncing from 168 and 169. It finally settled on 168. I think it’s almost time to change the battery as well. I only get on it once a day so you would think it would last a year. Not this scale though maybe 2-3 months I need to change it.
Wow, a scale that's a battery hog. Strange! I am glad you are bouncing between two almost identical numbers!

Today was 167. :willynilly: I had to access the forum using my tablet.the text version seems to be locked in on my laptop.
So nice!!! I hope you can do something easy like reload the page so you can view the forum on your laptop again. So weird how it varies so much if the site works or not.
Yeah both my laptop and tablet are Mac’s and both use safari browser yet it works on my tablet but not my laptop. It’s been a recent thing getting text view on my laptop.. it doesn’t seem to help when I refresh the page. I did try and delete cache and cookies but it doesn’t seem to help. I always get text mode rather than a forum board like the old site. I will just have to access the site on my tablet for now. I have a hard time with text mode.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. Has a nice light dinner egg salad sandwich and some cucumbers. Just had my coffee and now doom scrolling YouTube. I hope everyone has been seeing some progress with your weight loss/ I still haven't been logging food every day. That's something I want to work on. right now the only thing I track is my daily weigh in. it's nice to be able to see long term how the weight has been dropping slowly but surely. it bounces up and down sometime but does look like a decline. I haven't checked my BMI lately maybe I will do that once I log.
My bmi is not in the obese category or overweight category anymore. I am .1 into the normal weight category. I don’t understand how my current weight is not considered overweight judging by how much fat I still have on my body. I don’t think bmi is an accurate measure of body fat. I wanted to check it anyway. Getting ready to go out into the cold for my coffee. We are going to get hit with 6-12 inches of snow tonight so maybe I will get 2 so I don’t have to go out tomorrow.
167 today I’m pretty happy about that. I ate fast food yesterday so I was expecting the worse but it was just one day so I’m hoping if I stay on track it won’t affect my weight too much. It was a lot of processed calories then I got sick afterwards.. having a light dinner tonight just a hamsteak. Not much left for snacks I will have to go to the grocery store tomorrow. Hopefully I can get some grapes and raspberries. Eggs have been going up and up out of control. It’s almost a dollar an egg now. Everything has been going up in the grocery store because of trump plus a lot of imported fruits and vegetables the shelves are wiped clean.
Congratulations on getting to 167 lbs, Andrew! You're doing great! Eggs are scarce here too because of avian flu on mainland Australia.

I don’t expect better tomorrow I’ve been picking all night I am hoping I at least didn’t over eat maintenance calories. Hope everyone’s weight is doing good or at least maintenance.. I’m sorry I haven’t spent much time in the diary’s text mode has been bad.
It has been for me too, except on my iPhone, where I am now.
A change to the code must have happened within this month because I wasn’t having a problem with my Apple laptop until February I think it was. I know he is busy so I don’t want to complain too much. We are lucky to have this forum at all. I really like how random people can’t view the diary section just members. I think with the old forum anyone can read anything. The reason I point that out is I used to be a member in another forum where it had a before and after pictures thread readable by anyone and someone actually had their pictures stolen and used on a Chinese weight loss advertisement.
Still in the 160s club though it is higher than normal. I just hope it isn’t 169 tomorrow. It was 168 today and it’s going the wrong direction. I need to focus more on eating less. Ever since we bought those huge paper plates the proportions even for just fruit has been massive.
Congrats on being back at low weight! My mom weighed less than me when she was living with us and near the end of her life. She had almost no muscle mass and her belly was very big from eating a lot of simple carbs which are very bad if you eat a lot of them as far as inflammation, which puts you at much greater risk of cancer, diabetes, and other scary diseases. She had lots of fat around her midsection, too. I was overweight and weighed 15 pounds more than her (we were the same build), but had lots of muscle from doing yard work and gardening. So I think you can be the "correct" weight but have fat and still not be as healthy as you could be if you worked out and ate well. It's wonderful you are losing the weight, but it may be time to switch to maintaining the healthy weight and adding in ways to build muscle and making sure you are getting the right nutrients. A lot of people crash diet and then gain it all back because they didn't find out what works for them as far as maintaining healthy weight long term. That seems like a whole new set of things to experiment with to see what works for you personally. I know you can do it because you are so good at tracking your weight and persisting through all the weight fluctuations!

I’m sorry about your mom. I hope you have lots of good memories of her. My mom is loosing muscle also at age 72. I don’t know what her weight is she won’t tell me. She is much shorter than me.

Thanks for the hugs Marsia. Hugs back. Binged on some pizza on my birthday last week. Then binged again yesterday. hasn't affected my weight so far but we will see. still at 166 it hasn't gone down but at least I'm maintaining. I hit 166 for the first time on march 6th. been about the same up until today so about 2 weeks at this weight.
Ugh, sorry I keep missing your posts here! I hope you don't worry too much about plateauing. It's hard getting the last pounds off, in my experience. And I hope you don't feel bad about eating lots of pizza on your birthday! I try to give myself a few days a month where I eat a lot because I'm really hungry or really snacky. Then, if I am calorie counting, I just watch my calories especially or I skip a meal here and there. Are you still eating way below the recommended calorie amount? That can make it hard to lose weight if so because your body goes into survival mode and will hold on to every single calorie you consume. Sometimes you have to experiment with eating a bit more for a while and just exercising more.
That happened to my stepmother. she lost a bunch of weight not eating anything but seeds and other bird food. she lost a lot of weight but her body adjusted for it so she could barely eat a half of a sandwich and she would gain weight. this made her not want to eat even more and it was just a spiral downward.I don't know what her weight is now its been years since I saw her but hopefully she was able to get back and eat normally.
