Forum Settings


I will edit this post if and when settings need to be changed

The Diary Board cannot be seen unless logged in.
Probationary members cannot see diaries.
Probationary members have post approval turned on as a spam prevention measure.

The ability to Like posts and give Karma turn on at 20 posts.

While the forum is being established, Trusted refugees from the old forum are joining with "Founding member" status

Rules and setting can be changed based on member feedback. While as admin I need to maintain control of some critical functions, I want this place to be a community endeavour.

Thanks for that. I was wondering why I can't see diaries yet.

You can't see diaries because you are still probationary. Bombarding the forum with multiple posts & new threads is not a guarantee for approval.

While 20 posts is the set point for the probationary member period to end, it is a manual process to change a member from probationary to regular members. This is to prevent people posting 20 times without meaningfully interacting with other members posts just to unlock other areas of the forum.

20 me to posts is as spammy as someone posting an advert 20 times.
